*The Virtuous Woman Initiative (TVWI)* is preparing for the global celebration to commemorate * Menstrual Hygiene Day which will be on _SUNDAY, 28th of May 2023*_.
*The Menstrual Hygiene Day (MH Day)* is a global advocacy platform that *brings together the voices and actions* of non-profits, government agencies, individuals, the private sector and the media *to promote good menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) for all women and girls.*
We the Virtuous Woman Initiative will be *visiting prisons, orphanages & hospitals nationwide specifically to: break the silence, raise awareness to end period poverty, boost confidence to manage health & dignity, change negative social norms around Mentrual Health Hygiene, and engage decision-makers* to increase the political priority and catalyse action for MHH, at global, national and local levels.
